April 2009 - taking interest in Vincent Moon’s take-away shows - with no plan in mind - we started shooting live cinema.
Personas and personalities often differ. Whether intentional or not, traditional media has a tendency to reinforce artist persona and manufacture perception. The result is big hair, big style and big cheese. People are labeled, genres are formed and style is molded. Glamorized and spun, the artists themselves are rarely represented. We go behind the veil of the market to give an honest glimpse of the music that inspires us. The artist isn’t larger than life but their work can be. The Touch strives to give a glimpse of who these people are and the dynamics of how they work.
Adrian Vieni had come to us out of curiosity in such productions. He has since joined as an additional cinematographer on some projects and has worked with us on some of our favorite videos to this point.

In February 2010 we had a meeting at the downtown AUX.tv building. We have since started the web series “What We See Is What You Get”.
I met Martin, founder of NYC based The Waster (downtown money waster) in February or March 2009 - I asked him if I could shoot bands and contribute to his webpage content - he told me he would give it a shot. We started the Live from Toronto series. In August 2009 we received a phone call from SPINearth asking if we would “partner” with them as Toronto contributers. We did.
